The community you are looking for is here! We want you here! I want you here! I’m Romeo, a Latinx, disabled, queer, and trans therapist who wants to create art with you at our free Trans*formations crafting meet-ups.

If you’re looking for a sign to take a break from the outside world to hear your inner world, this is it! Collages, paintings, love letters, poems, sculptures, or bring your own craft – whatever you heart desires to actualize, I want to make happen. Trans*formations is free to all participants and supplies are provided for each meet ups themed craft. Masking is optional but encouraged; masks are provided for free.

Every other month Trans*formations is open to all members of the trans+ community. In addition, we have monthly BIPOC-only craft groups to continue to foster a safe haven and creative environment for our community members of the global majority. Every other month BIPOC-only nights are held in partnership with Capital Tea.

Additional Information:

  • Registration is free! Supplies for each meeting's craft are provided at no cost to participants. Pre-registration is required.

  • Masks are optional, but encouraged. N95 Masks will be provided for free.

  • Registration is capped at 10 participants.

  • While big things may come up during discussion this is not a group therapy space, nor is it intended to be one. If these big feelings come up, please do not be afraid to ask for a break. Be mindful of everyone in the space and their lived experiences, including if they feel ready to listen and engage with sensitive topics.

  • Meeting location information is date-specific and can be found on each meeting's registration page.
