About the Event

Theme: How are We Doing? Unraveling, mind-body connection, how do we reconnect with our bodies that don’t always feel like they belong to us…

Craft: Re-create your childhood environment through a new, loving lens (painting, get messy and have fun!)

Trans*formations is designed for members of the trans community to explore their identities and build community. We ask that participants self-identify under the trans umbrella, which includes non-binary and gender non-conforming folks. For more information on this event please see our Trans*formations: Beyond the Binary program page.

This meeting is a BIPOC-only space. BIPOC stands for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color. As described by our facilitator, Romeo Mendoza, "Naming and self-naming are important tools for us to connect to become closer to our identities and to share our experiences in community to empower ourselves against oppressive systems in a White-dominated society. Language becomes something to unify and align ourselves…
