Trans*formations is designed for members of the trans community to explore their identities and build community. We ask that participants self-identify under the trans umbrella, which includes non-binary and gender non-conforming folks. This meeting is a BIPOC-only space. BIPOC stands for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color. As described by our facilitator, Romeo Mendoza, "Naming and self-naming are important tools for us to connect to become closer to our identities and to share our experiences in community to empower ourselves against oppressive systems in a White-dominated society.
